We had steady rain in mid Cornwall for about 3 hours on Friday.
It has been an unusually dry March though.

It rained a little here in South Wales on Friday morning. My first job every morning is to put food out for the wild birds in the garden, so I put on my natural plastic see-through poncho, a little thin for my liking but it is not one of those horrible polythene types; it kept me dry. Just as I had finished feeding the birds the refuse men collected the wheelie bins so I went to the front of the house to retrieve the emptied bin. Whenever the bins are collected there is always a race between myself and my neighbour to get to the bins first. This time I got to the bins just as my neighbour, a divorced lady, was coming out to do the same. My neighbour pointed to my poncho and said, with a smile "very fetching !".

I love it when it rains.

here in vienna it was raining a bit on weekends. but honestly.. do you need rain for wearing rainwear?
my wife and i enjoy a lot wearing raincloths when it is sunny. the looks of others are funny and make us horny too!
especially while driving our motorcycle we love to wear some layers of rainwear. on top an pvc-overall. the hood tightly around our heads under the helmet.
and a helmet can hide some bondage-gear too...... )))

We had heavy rain here this morning so I was able to wear my red rubberlined satin mac ( hood tightly tied under my chin) to work which made me very happy on a Monday morning !!
The sun shone this afternoon but I was very happy & warm returning home in my tightly belted mac ,but I kept the hood down this time.!!

Yesterday in good ol' Milwaukee, WI USA we had a steady, heavy rain that lasted for a good 6 hours without interruption, which was a perfect opportunity to wear my new yellow "fireman" slicker I posted a pic of a few days ago (http://www.flickr.com/photos/rainwearlo ... 529397668/) in public for the first time. It was a glorious feeling as the torrents of cold rain cascaded off the smooth pvc, while my welly-clad feet strode through mini-rivers of flowing rainwater. Quite a few nice sightings as well: A woman who looked to be in her early 40s in a knee-length shiny bronze polyurethane trench; a woman in her late 40s-early 50s in a shiny white pvc slicker; a cute young mom in a shiny black pvc slicker & green & yellow floral wellies; and a pretty blonde who appeared to be college age, in a hot pink cotton trench with matching wellies. Also, while shopping I received quite a few compliments from different retail saleswomen who thought I looked nice in my raingear (note to the fashion industry: there IS a market for this stuff!). All in all, a really good start to the season.

I've been wearing my black pvc one-piece motorcycle suit in bright sunshine while out shopping today. Don't need rain to enjoy being waterproofed up!
